- About District 6 District 6 has the largest membership of the United Steelworkers' 13 districts with over 74,000 members and approximately 50,000 retirees.
- Wayne Fraser, District 6 Director Wayne Fraser has been Director of District 6 since November 2001 when he was first elected by the members of District 6. In 2005 he was re-elected by acclamation and once again was re-elected in 2009.
- Welcome to District 6 Our union continues to lead the labour movement in Ontario and the Atlantic Provinces, fighting on behalf of our members and our retirees.

- Steelworker Summer 2011 PAID Internships are open to young adults, 17 years of age or older who are children of members of the United Steelworkers and actively enrolled in school.
- Women of Steel - Women's Information Network WIN is a network for communicating with women activists throughout our district. Strong unions need women and women need strong unions.
- Human Rights Steelworkers must stand together for equality, fairness and justice. Our District 6 Human Rights Committee is working hand in hand with the leadership of District 6 to introduce human rights initiatives.

- Women of Steel Unions need women and women need unions. Women have struggled for equality, democracy and social justice over many decades. The progress we have made has not come easy. Developing women activists and recognizing women’s issues as workers’ issues has always been the goal of the leadership in District 6.
