12 SEPTEMBER 2008 - Steelworkers Reach Tentative Agreement with Vale-Inco Manitoba Operations

THOMPSON, MB – The United Steelworkers union (USW) has reached a tentative agreement with Vale-Inco at the company’s Manitoba operations.

Details of the agreement will not be released until the 1,286 members of USW Local 6166 have had an opportunity to review them. Voting on the deal will take place over the next three days and results will be known late Monday.

Negotiations at Vale-Inco in Sudbury, ON will take place in the spring of 2009.
