Guidelines for Writing and Submitting Resolutions

How do we Build for Tomorrow’s Jobs, in today’s economic, social and political climate? The National Policy Conference is your opportunity to present, discuss and debate priorities on, for example, workers’ rights at home and abroad, our children’s future and the protection of our health, safety and environment, and advancing our agenda for peace and human rights. It’s not necessary for resolutions to fit into those particular categories of course. The conference is your opportunity to put forward issues for discussion by delegates from local unions all across the country.

Resolutions for the National Policy Conference should each deal with one topic only and be limited to 150 words.

Please send the resolution(s) to:

Resolutions Committee
USW National Office
234 Eglinton Avenue East, 8th Floor
Toronto, Ontario
M4P 1K7

Please send no later than March 26, 2010. Each resolution must be adopted by the local union members, have original signatures of the President and Recording Secretary of the local union, and be impressed with the local union seal.
