Bangladesh labour delegation reportIn February 2016, a delegation of 11 Canadian trade union leaders and activists visited Bangladesh to learn first hand what progress has been made in the garment industry on safety and to understand the current state of the struggle of garment workers for their rights.

The delegation saw much progress in building inspections but learned that owners and brands urgently need to actually implement building repairs and safety improvements. Respect for worker rights and a living wage remain very serious problems.

Following their visit, the delegation has released a report on their findings.
