About the campaign

The Canadian steel industry employs 23,000 people directly and another 100,000 indirectly, including approximately 11,600 USW members. In 2019 alone, the steel industry contributed $4.2 billion to Canada’s GDP. The steel industry is not only essential to the Canadian economy, but it provides community-sustaining jobs across the country.
