Ontario Taxi Workers Union
The Ontario Taxi Workers Union is an independent union governed by taxi drivers and supported by the USW. Formed in 2009, the OTWU has grown to over 1,200 members and is the fastest-growing taxi drivers' organization in Canada. The OTWU fights for justice, dignity and respect for members. The OTWU affiliated with the USW in 2011, providing the OTWU with large-union support and a commitment to organizing and protecting precarious workers.
