Rio Tinto
Rio Tinto's Lockout is an Assault on Workers
Rio Tinto Alcan forced nearly 800 workers onto picket lines on New Year's Day rather than continue attempts to negotiate a new contract. The workers are members of USW/Syndicat des Métallos Local 9490. The United Steelworkers/Syndicat des Métallos is ready to fight for decent jobs and take the battle against Rio Tinto to its operations across the globe, with the support of our fellow workers across North America and around the world.

Poster - Help Get Rio Tinto Off the Olympic Podium!
Steelworkers mine the gold in the Olympic medals. However, Rio Tinto's anti-worker and environmentally damaging practices betray the Olympic spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.
Tens of thousands of people around the world are telling Olympic organizers that Rio Tinto doesn't deserve to be an official supplier of the London 2012 Summer Games.
Help protect the Olympic ideals and defend the livelihoods of Quebec's next generation.
