Steelworkers help members gain skills, knowledge and confidence to protect their rights AND partcipate in our union. We offer courses in six main areas:

The USW offers a number of scholarships for high school students, post-secondary students and Steelworker members.
Member-facilitators are essential to USW’s education program. To support your on-going development as union educators, in this section you’ll find tools for good facilitation, thought-provoking videos and articles, and USW course materials.
PAID Internships are open to young adults, 17-25 years of age, who are children or grandchildren of members or retired members of the United Steelworkers and actively enrolled in school.
USW Family Education Day is a program that provides funding for locals to bring together USW members, their families and allies in the social justice movement for a day of education, culture and networking.
The Family and Community Education Fund (FCEF) wants to fund your next membership engagement event. January 22, 2021, is our next project deadline for initiatives costing more than $5,000!
The USW NextGen Committee is hosting three consecutive Tuesday events (starting tomorrow) to give a space for the incredible young members of our union to connect, share their experiences and have some fun!
