Support Our Steelworkers – Malik Draz, Jennifer Bowes and Kelly Hardy

Malik Draz (USW Local 2014) is running in Saskatoon Westview, Jennifer Bowes (USW Local 5917) is running in Saskatoon University, and Kelly Hardy (USW Local 9841) is running in Regina Walsh Acres.

Malik Draz - Saskatoon Westview

Malik Draz, with his wife and son, have called Saskatoon home since 2008. Since then, he has worked in his community, advocating for equality and safety through his work in the labour movement. As the President of United Steelworkers Local Union 2014, Draz has proven to be a strong and respected leader.

“Saskatchewan people need to get ahead,” said Draz. “This means we need to strengthen our Crowns, invest in our education, and create a healthcare system that works for all of us.”

Jennifer Bowes - Saskatoon University

Jennifer Bowes was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Waldheim, Saskatchewan. After graduating from high school, Jennifer attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario where she completed a BA in Psychology.

Jennifer works for SEIU West as an advocate for employees in the healthcare sector. She is a member of USW Local 5917.

 

Kelly Hardy - Regina Walsh Acres

Kelly was born and raised in Regina. For the past 10 years she has fought for and strengthened workers' rights as a representative in Labour Relations with a public sector union based in northwest Regina.

An advocate for Saskatchewan’s most vulnerable people, Kelly has served as the Director of Justice for the Métis Nation of Saskatchewan. Throughout her career, she has negotiated dozens of agreements and presented numerous cases before labour and criminal tribunals.
