The United Steelworkers’ 54th National Policy Conference will be held in Vancouver, BC on April 2-5, 2019
Our conference theme is Solidarity Builds: a reminder of all the things that we build – together – as members of our great union.
Plan to attend and join hundreds of Steelworker activists at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver from April 2-5, 2019, as we set USW policy in Canada for collective bargaining, political action, membership growth and building solidarity and a better future for all working people.
NextGen Conference
As we have done for the last two policy conferences, on the Monday preceding the conference, we will have a full-day gathering for activists aged 35 and under. Our NextGen Conference will take place on Mon., April 1. It will be an energizing day for our up-and-coming activists and leaders to network, learn and build solidarity.
National Locals and Federal Workers Conference
This year, for the first time, we will also have a special conference for our national locals and our federally regulated workers, also on Mon., April 1. Over the last few years, our membership in federal sectors has increased, and we will have a one-day conference to discuss issues that are specific to national locals and our federally regulated members.
