A Call to Action - Un appel à l'actionSisters: Make plans to attend USW’s combined International/National Women’s Conference, October 14-17, 2018 in Toronto!

“Women of Steel: A Call to Action” takes place at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in downtown Toronto. The first formal conference activity – district caucuses – takes place the afternoon of Sunday, October 14, followed by an opening reception. Delegates will attend plenary sessions and workshops on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with the conference ending at noon on Wednesday, October 17.

Workshop selection will take place at the conference, during registration. Registration begins the evening of Saturday, October 13 and continues throughout Sunday. 

On-site childcare by unionized, certified early childhood educators is available; please indicate on your registration form.

Simultaneous French-English/English-French translation is provided in all plenary sessions and some workshops.

Registration fee: $250 by August 1; $275 after August 1 (Canadian dollars)

Hotel bookings: The USW block of rooms at the Sheraton Centre Hotel is now full. Rooms can be booked in the USW’s overflow block at Toronto’s Chelsea Hotel, where rooms are priced at $200 (Canadian dollars). Book online or call the hotel directly, toll free 1-800-CHELSEA (243-5732) or 416-595-1975. Identify yourself as part of the “United Steelworkers (USW)” room block and call prior to the cut-off date of September 21, 2018 to take advantage of the discounted group rate.
