After two years of the pandemic, we’re looking forward to get together again as Steelworkers and as Women of Steel!
You have all worked hard to keep your families, your co-workers, and your communities safe and healthy. And our union has worked hard to protect workers and advance women’s rights.
That’s why the theme of our conference is Women of Steel are Raising the Bar! You will hear from Women of Steel who are active in their local unions, women’s committees, and bargaining committees about how we’re raising the bar on:
- Women’s health and safety
- Equality at work
- Women’s leadership
- Rebuilding after the pandemic
- Strong women’s committees
And you’ll attend workshops on:
- Women’s health and safety
- Domestic violence
- Improving mental health
- The USW constitution
- Bargaining equality
- Working for more racial justice
- Overcoming apathy and increasing women’s participation in union events
- And more!
Other agenda highlights include:
- District caucuses (starting on the evening of October 17th)
- Evening social events and hospitality suites
- A key-note talk by USW International Vice-President At Large Roxanne Brown
- Rally on violence against women
Registration Fee:
$275 Early-bird registration (by September 9, 2022)
$325 Regular registration (after September 9, 2022)
NextGen delegates: Local unions will be able to apply for a subsidy of $800 for each NextGen delegate (born on or after October 20, 1986) they send to the conference. More information and application forms are coming soon.
