Registration link to receive information for the Connecting Circles
Like the rest of you, I was looking forward to attending the National Gathering for Indigenous Steelworkers, originally scheduled for April 2020 in Toronto. When the pandemic hit, we decided to postpone it for a year. Now, I am sad to say that the continued health crisis means we are cancelling those plans and will not be holding a national gathering until it is completely safe to do so.
The USW National Aboriginal Committee will instead host a series on online Connecting Circles in 2021. These one-hour Zoom events can never take the place of an in-person gathering. But they do allow us to stay in touch with one another and assure all Steelworkers that our union is committed to advancing Indigenous rights, inside the workplace and in our wider society.
