April 7 – Steelworkers Talk Politics – Ontario election

All Steelworkers are invited to join our next Steelworkers Talk Politics online event, where we have a chance to informally exchange ideas and opinions about political issues of the day.

Brought to you by the USW District 6 Political Action Committee.

Steelworkers Talk Politics – Ontario election

Thursday, April 7, 7:00 p.m. Eastern

Join our guests online in an open discussion about engaging union members in voting and politics:

  • It’s an election year in Ontario and it’s time we did better. We need to bring back good, unionized jobs in every sector. Secure, full-time jobs that provide a living wage, a pension and benefits. Ontario workers deserve easier access to unions in order to organize and build a stronger middle class.
  • Our union is proud to endorse Andrea Horwath and the Ontario NDP. Let’s have a conversation about how the NDP can repair the damage done by decades of Liberal and PC governments.

Guest speakers include:

  • Jamie West, NDP MPP (Sudbury) and USW member, Local 6500
  • Sara Singh, NDP MPP (Brampton Centre) and Deputy Leader of the Official Opposition
  • Guy Bourgouin, NDP MPP (Mushkegowuk–James Bay) and USW member, Local 1-2010

All Steelworkers are welcome.

Steelworkers are active in politics to have a positive impact on our workplaces, our communities and in our lives.
